My family and I volunteered to help at a local school recently. The faculty, students and parents hosted a charity barbecue to raise money for children with cancer.
The girls in the photo all agreed to cut off their long hair and donate it to make wigs for children who have lost their hair as a result of their cancer treatments. Many of the adults and children also agreed to have their bone marrow tested to see if they are a good match for anyone needing a bone marrow transplant. One of the students turned out to be a match and is going into the hospital for the procedure, to save someone else’s life. Aren’t these children just so incredible? We should all be as noble as they are.
